What Does it Mean to be a Lutheran School?
University Christian High School is a compassionate, Christ-centered community of servant leaders. Started in 2009, UCHS has a rich history of excellence in education, faith development, character development, and community service. Serving grades 9 through 12, University Christian is affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod. While accredited through the National Lutheran Schools Association, we also hold accreditation from the national accrediting agency, Cognia (formerly SACS).
Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod has a rich history of providing the very best faith-based education. The governance provided through accreditation ensures a high-quality, well-rounded education. The faith-based education at UCHS exceeds all academic national and state levels. University Christian High School welcomes students from all backgrounds and religions. All people matter to God and therefore all people matter to us.
The mission of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church is to live God's call at the intersection of campus and community so that all generations may celebrate God's grace.
The congregation delights in its partnership in ministry with University Christian High School which allows intergenerational opportunities to engage hands, hearts, and minds.-Pastor Christy Lohr Sapp, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church
University Christian High School is steeped in the rich tradition of Lutheran education. We outreach to all faiths. Part of our ministry every day, every morning, is to start school with a devotional thought and prayer. Our kids attend Chapel once a week and then we study, both scripture and philosophy, and literature and the arts, in a way that we believe strongly lifts kids and brings them closer to their faith.
