Faith and Learning

Building a spiritual foundation of selflessness, acceptance and love for others.

Who am I? What is my purpose? What are my hopes for the future? With Christ at the forefront, University Christian High School students develop a broad and healthy perspective on life as they explore and begin to answer these questions.

Each day begins together in Community, which is a time for reflection, prayer, encouragement, acknowledgement, and gratitude. Community truly embodies the culture of UCHS – students, faculty and staff celebrating together in an environment of mutual respect, trust, and acceptance.

Once a week, students participate in Chapel, a service where members of the faith community share their own life experiences and reflect on how faith continues to shape their lives and the lives of those around them.

UCHS students are required take one semester of religion each year, challenging them to explore religious practices and spirituality. They develop an understanding of how this impacts people throughout the world, as well as continuing to shape their own identity, decision making and growth.

Developing life-long servant leaders is essential to the mission of UCHS. Our students work to extend kindness and generosity within their neighborhoods and communities, and collaborate to provide for missions throughout the world. They truly reflect the call to pay attention to the needs of the people around them, which will stay with them for a lifetime.

By equally engaging the heart, mind and spirit, we inspire our students to become inquirers. By asking “what” and “why,” they begin to understand their role in the “how.”
